La Vaca Brazilian Grill - Ontario: Reviews & Ratings

So, La Vaca Brazilian Grill opened up after the Stone Oven shut down at this location, which was a total bummer. We were kinda missing our go-to spot, but we decided to give this new joint a shot. La Vaca is all about fast food, Brazilian style, with a focus on grilled meats. The interesting thing is that they sell the meat and buffet items by weight. If you load up on just meat, it's gonna hit your wallet harder, but if you mix it up with some salad or veggies, you can actually save a few bucks. When my wife and I went there, we wanted to try a variety of meats. Gotta be honest, the beef was kinda meh, nothing to write home about. But hey, the chicken was surprisingly good! It had this tasty marinade that made it pretty enjoyable. Now, here's the kicker. I got us this garlic and cheese bread, and man, it was dry as a desert. I didn't care for it one bit. They definitely need to work on that part. On the bright side, the staff at La Vaca Brazilian Grill were really nice. They were friendly and took good care of us, which made the whole experience more pleasant. Overall, I gotta say that the food at La Vaca is a bit on the pricey side, considering what they offer. Yeah, you can save some money by loading up on veggies, but still, it's not the best bang for your buck. To wrap it up, La Vaca Brazilian Grill has potential, but it's not quite there yet. The beef was bland, the garlic bread was a letdown, but the chicken and the friendly staff were highlights. If you're looking for a quick fix of grilled meat, give it a shot, but don't expect to be blown away.

There's a big trick when you eat here. They sell by weight so... You have to be wise because there's TWO PRICE where the most expensive one is meat only BUT a spoon of a light weight salad would get you the cheapest option to add all the meat you want at the weight price of some cheap rice Now, I really wish I'd like it but the sausage was way too spicy and not the Brazilian kind at all. I'll come back to try more next time but a Brazilian without a Brazilian sausage can't be 5 stars (for now)

This spot is located inside the Ontario Mills Mall food court. The food was good, with a nice variety of options. The service was decent, though the staff seemed a bit confused while I was selecting my items. That said, they were friendly and handled it well. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I’m glad I got to try this place out!

The great Brazilian BBQ in the food court of the mall. The Garlic Beef and top sirloin cap are great. The sausage and chicken breast are with special taste. Meats are great here. One can choose different sides like pasta, veggies, salads and fruits. The things are not so expensive and would be wonderful for taking a rest and resolving the hunger during shopping time.

We decided to try this place while we're here. It's located in the food court inside Ontario Mills Outlet mall next to Panda Express. Customer service was alright. They didn't seem as helpful and it was a little confusing how much they were charging. You basically pick up a paper plate and fill it with anything displayed. They will then weigh it in the end and charge you by the weight. My plate that I shared was $18. Kinda expensive for what I had and for the quality of the food. Some of the highlights though was he garlic chicken leg and the garlic collard greens. Next time, I'll just fill my plate with just those and their rice. We tried both the beef and chicken empanada and was not impressed. It tasted like it was sitting under the heat lamp for a long time and we arrived first thing when they opened.

La Vaca Brazilian Grill in Ontario, nestled within the bustling Ontario Mills Mall food court, offers a fresh take on Brazilian-style fast grilled meats. This spot replaces the beloved Stone Oven and aims to fill the void for fans of quick, flavorful grilled fare. The unique selling point here is their pricing model—everything is sold by weight, giving diners the freedom to customize their plates with a mix of meats, salads, and sides. This can be a clever way to manage cost and indulge according to your appetite.

The standout dish for me was the marinated chicken—juicy, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavor. It reflects the care put into the grill, showcasing some authentic Brazilian influences despite the fast-casual setting. In contrast, the beef options, including garlic beef and top sirloin cap, felt a bit muted and didn’t quite reach the depth one might hope for in Brazilian barbecue. The sausage, often a highlight in Brazilian grills, showed some potential but leaned too spicy in an unexpected way, deviating from traditional flavors. It leaves room for improvement but keeps curiosity alive for future visits.

On the lighter side, the buffet offers a solid variety of salads, veggies, pasta, and even fruits, allowing a balanced plate alongside the meats. This variety enhances the dining experience, letting you mix textures and flavors while managing the meal’s overall weight and price. However, the garlic and cheese bread was a disappointment—dry and lacking the warmth and richness one expects to complement grilled meats.

Service at La Vaca Brazilian Grill deserves praise. The staff are friendly, approachable, and attentive, making even a food court environment feel welcoming. Their energy adds a positive note to the meal and eases the sometimes confusing process of selecting items by weight.

Overall, La Vaca Brazilian Grill is a promising stop for those craving Brazilian grilled meats on the go. While it doesn’t quite hit the mark on every dish, the flavorful chicken, diverse sides, and warm service create a balanced experience. If you’re shopping at Ontario Mills and want a quick, tasty meal with a Brazilian twist, La Vaca is worth a try—just manage your expectations and be mindful of the pricing model.
